I screwed up our server’s logging recently through lack of sleep, lack of caffeine reaction and silliness. In a word, I was tired and not paying attention.

In /etc/apache2/sites-available/ you list all the configuration files for your websites. In /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/ you make a symlink to the sites in /sites-available/

Sounds straight forward:

ln -s /etc/apache2/sites-available/www.domain.com .

So now if you want to deactivate a site simply remove the symlink. I made the mistake this morning of performing this command inside the /sites-enabled/ directory:

cp domain-config domain-config.0001

This was using the symlink to the file in the /sites-available/ and copying it to domain-config.0001. MUY Stupido but that said I don’t know how it screwed up the logging…

Lesson learned and everythings hunky dory again.

UPDATE: I bought a brand new black MacBook for $1300.

My next portable will be a MacBook. I was researching which one I should get and it was down to the MacBook (White/Black) or the MacBook Pro.One thing I found funny was that Apple charge more money just for the black MacBook. Is this racist? Are people stupid?The only different between the stock unit (without addons or customization) is that the black MacBook has a slightly larger hard disk drive (160GB) and it retails in Canada at $1649 the White stock unit costs $1449 but if you upgrade to the 160GB hard disk drive it costs $1531. This specification is as follows:The White MacBook

Again, go back to those prices… Why is the white $118 cheaper than the black MacBook, or even, why is the black MacBook $118 MORE expensive? Strange… I would have bought a white MacBook anyway.

From Dell, Inspiron 640m, it has a Core 2 Dupo in there and 2 Gig of Ram. It has Vista Business on there as well, now that is where the trouble is…

I have to use a glass plate to have the notebook on my laptop or else the CPU or video processor overheats and the screen goes nuts. Modern computing is a nightmare.
